Every day we are given a chance to share LOVE with each other. From the beginning, God has only desired for us to trust Him and LOVE like He does. Just think of the pain the world faces every day because of a lack of Godly LOVE. Each week we are tragically reminded of what the lack of God's LOVE in a life can lead to. Death. (1 John 3:14 NIV)
I find it interesting that in the beginning, according to the bible, there were no churches, laws or expectations for our mortal existence with each other. There was only LOVE. The story of Adam and Eve's mistake gives a great example of what happens when we don't embrace God's LOVE completely. (Genesis 2:4-3:24 NIV) The face of sin became known to them because they did not trust God's LOVE. When reading all the texts in the bible of what God's LOVE is like; I wonder why they chose not to embrace such a wonderful verb above all else. Gods' LOVE is amazing!!
God's LOVE is:
1st Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV)
LOVE is patient
LOVE is kind
LOVE does not envy
LOVE does not boast
LOVE is not proud
LOVE does not dishonor others
LOVE is not self-seeking
LOVE is not easily angered
LOVE keeps no record of wrongs
LOVE does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
LOVE always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
LOVE never fails.
Journey family, if humanity truly embraced this type of LOVE, heaven could be realized here on earth. I dare to say that that is what heaven is; a place where LOVE is given above all else. The good news it that you can count on that there will be "moments" of heaven in your life. Look for them, yearn for them, pray for them and be open to them. God's spirit desires to flow through you and create these moments to enjoy. A great way to allow these moments to exists is through worshiping God. Why? When you are in the act of worship, your "self" tends to take a back seat. When you focus on God and delight in His ways, all of 1 Corinthians 13 will be a byproduct of that delight. LOVE is a choice. This is a choice to know God. (1st John 4:8) This choice can be difficult because it goes against our natural inclinations, but it is exactly what Jesus did for us. (Romans 5:8)
Focus on what blessings God has placed in your life. Notice the tiny moments of heaven around you. Create some! Dig deep into God's word to be lead by His spirit to LOVE as did. Worship the Almighty with your whole self and let His LOVE consume you.
Be willing to gain a deep understanding of God's LOVE for us.
Your spirit of joy and praise brings healing. It is our calling, testimony and gift to each other. LOVE each other and Embrace God's LOVE in worship!
